Our story
Vila & Saavedra is one of Portugal’s leading businesses in the plastics sector. Its 40-year history and success draw on the experience of two generations. Originally focused on plastics, the business expanded into printing and paper bags. Its diverse range serves industry, retail and household needs, with stocks covering more than 800 products.
In 2012, the company signed an agreement with Sociedade Ponto Verde and became a FESA agent. This allows customers to purchase service packaging with the Ponto Verde contribution included, in accordance with the applicable legislation.
Today, Vila & Saavedra’s energetic team works with customers and suppliers to improve its products. Quality products and service, reliable delivery times and competitive prices have always been central to the business.

Social responsibility.
The Ponto Verde system, also known as SIGRE, is Portugal’s integrated packaging waste management system. It organises and manages the collection, recovery and recycling of non-reusable packaging waste, helping to reduce the amount sent to landfill.
The system depends on its partners working together and sharing responsibility to complete a cycle with long-term sustainability potential. Everyone has an essential part to play.
